Welcome to the AZW What's On page. Here you will find details of events / movies and entertainment outside of the Zombie Walk itself that may satisfy your zombie hunger until October.
THE ADELAIDE ZOMBIE WALK "BLOOD RUN"
WHERE: RED CROSS BLOOD BANKS PIRIE & CURRIE STREET LOCATIONS
WHEN: FRIDAY 11TH MAY / SATURDAY 12TH MAY
DETAILS:
We have secured 85 appointments (slightly lower than our desired 100 but we'll be prepared for next year!) over Friday the 11th of May and Saturday the 12th of May. We tried to secure appointments at Pelican Plaza and Marion but sadly they were booked out. All donations will take place at Pirie and Currie Street Centers.
Bookings start at 9am with 2 bookings every 15 minutes (on average), donation takes approx 1 hour. This time round it is blood donations only as Plasma and Platelets take longer.
36 Zombies - Friday, Pirie Street
23 Zombies - Friday, Currie Street
26 Zombies - Saturday, Currie Street
Please email AZW (adelaidezombiewalk@gmail.com) with 2 preferred times and at which center you wish to donate at along with your name and donor ID. I will do my best to secure a time that suits. Our website will show an update of our progress with what appointments are filled and will be updated at 6pm each night.
You are welcome to come in Zombie Form and as a bonus the Red Cross Workers will be doing the same! NO FAKE BLOOD!!! It is very important that you follow this rule and DO NOT use or arrive with fake blood, only mild zombies are required for this event, thank you.
Again if you don't have your donor ID already use the forms featured below asap, I need your ID to proceed. We also have an info pamphlet for you to view letting you know what will happen when you donate blood and how to prepare for the day.
Remember there's only 85 places so be sure to get in quick and PLEASE ensure you turn up for your appointment. In advance I personally thank you for taking part and I hope you feel proud knowing that your small donation will help to save lives... THANK YOU.
